Legion Pulse vs BH2K:
Full Label Comparison
Legion built its entire brand on clinically dosed, third-party lab-tested ingredients with total label transparency — the same promise Unmatched makes. This comparison uses the real, current formula Legion publishes on its own product page.
What Is Legion Pulse?
Pulse is Legion's flagship pre-workout, built around 350mg of caffeine paired 1:1 with 350mg of L-theanine — a deliberate ratio Legion uses to smooth caffeine's effect and reduce jitters, sold as "the daily driver" you can use without cycling off. Every dose is clinically referenced and printed on the label, and Pulse is independently certified by Labdoor to meet or exceed FDA safety guidelines.
At $49.99 for 20 servings, that's $2.49 a scoop at list price — though Legion runs frequent subscription and sale pricing that can bring it well below that. Pulse is available in a bottle or single-serve stick packs, and Legion sells caffeine-free and higher-stim variants alongside the standard formula, so the 350mg figure here is specifically the base "With Caffeine" version.
Legion's academic advisory board and published research funding are a genuine point of difference — the brand has put real money behind independent studies on its own ingredients, which is unusual in the industry. Unmatched's approach leans more on formulation choices (paraxanthine over caffeine, GAA alongside creatine) than on funding new primary research. Both are legitimate ways to build trust; they're just different strategies.

Where Legion Pulse Is Genuinely Better
Higher Citrulline and Beta-Alanine
8g citrulline malate and 3.6g beta-alanine both edge out BH2K's figures — genuinely larger doses of two well-researched pump and endurance ingredients.
1:1 Caffeine-to-Theanine Ratio
Pairing 350mg caffeine with 350mg L-theanine is a deliberate, research-informed choice to blunt jitters — a real formulation answer to caffeine's downsides, distinct from BH2K's approach of skipping caffeine entirely.
Labdoor Certification
Independent, publicly verifiable third-party certification specifically for label-accuracy and safety — a concrete, checkable claim.
Where BH2K Wins
No Caffeine At All
Even with theanine smoothing it out, Pulse is still 350mg of caffeine — a high dose. Paraxanthine gives BH2K real stimulation without caffeine's tolerance curve or sleep-disruption risk.
Built-In Creatine Precursor
CreGAAtine pairs creatine monohydrate with GAA in the same scoop — Legion sells creatine as a completely separate product.
NSF Certified Manufacturing
NSF Certification involves ongoing facility audits, a different and more rigorous standard than Labdoor's product-level testing.
Which Unmatched Product Is the Closest Match?
BH2K is the direct comparison — both are full-strength, energy-plus-pump pre-workouts from brands that built their reputation on label transparency. If you want the highest citrulline and beta-alanine doses and don't mind caffeine, Pulse is a strong pick; if you want a caffeine-free stimulant with a built-in creatine precursor, BH2K is the one.
Legion also sells Recharge (creatine), Whey+ (protein), and Fortify (multivitamin) as separate products — a similar catalog shape to Unmatched's CreGAAtine, Isolate, and Longevity Multi+, just under a different brand. If you're building a full stack rather than a single pre-workout, both brands cover the same categories, and both are built around the same core promise: no proprietary blends, and clinical doses you can actually verify against the published research rather than take entirely on faith.
